Our story

Structure, community, and a place to practice a new life.

Blue Waters Recovery Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We operate accredited recovery residences in South Florida for people seeking recovery from addiction and alcoholism — with clear expectations, peer support, and long-term phases that grow with each client.

What makes Blue Waters different

  • FARR accredited — Florida recovery residence standards
  • 12-step focused — weekly program reviews with house managers; progress reviewed by program directors
  • Monitored testing — random and frequent drug & alcohol testing
  • Long-term phases — curfews and privileges ease with progress and time
  • Independent — not affiliated with any detox or treatment center
  • Employment culture — job search support and expectations for clients who need work

Blue Waters Dog Rescue

We proudly partner with Blue Waters Dog Rescue, a separate 501(c)(3). Rescue dogs — often bully breeds — live in our homes while preparing for forever families. People in recovery and dogs in transition give each other something rare: unconditional presence.

Our residences are dog-friendly. Client pets depend on space and assessment — cats, reptiles, and small rodents aren’t part of the program.

Accountability

House meetings, daily chores and room checks, monitored testing, and weekly one-on-ones on sponsor, steps, meetings, work, and goals.

Non-medical

No doctors or nurses on staff. We don’t provide medical treatment. Clients who need clinical care are directed to appropriate providers.

Practical support
